CANAL ART EXHIBITION

11 March - 14 April

 

Our fifth exhibition, with over 150 paintings by at least 15 artists, including many members of the Guild of Waterway Artists. All works are for sale, or just come to view

Needlework & Knitting

 

The first floor at Audlem Mill is dedicated to needlework, knitting and related crafts.

 

Needlework Kits

A wide variety of cross stitch, goldwork, whitework, tapestry, blackwork, longstitch, crewel work, stumpwork, latch hook, dolls house soft furnishing, and other kits.

 

We have the full Abacus Designs range of nearly 200 cross stitch kits, of which about half are of canal and waterway subjects, and also canal related kits from other designers such as Heritage Stitchcraft, Cambriana and Classic Embroidery, including canal maps.

 

Good range of embroidery hoops and plastic frames - the best frames on the market, we believe.

 

Embroidery threads

The full range of DMC and Anchor stranded cotton, specialist threads by Pearsalls, Texere, Caron, Oliver Twists, de Haviland and Texere.  Stef Francis experimental packs.  Most colours of Anchor tapestry wool, at 40p each, or 3 for £1.00!

Fabrics

A selection for various crafts, e.g. hessian, aida, brittney, lugana, binca, evenweave, calico, plus some printed poly cottons.  Angelina fusible fibres.

 

Specialist needles and tools

Tapestry, sewing, leathercraft, beading and other needles.  Rag rugging, latch hook and punch needle tools.  Crochet needles.

 

Knitting

Yarns by Stylecraft, Robin and Wendy, a small range of adult, child and baby patterns, metal and bamboo needles, and accessories. French knitting kits.
