Needle Felting
(small charge for materials)
A quick, easy and fun way to make felt - no soap and water required! It’s a fascinating technique using a special barbed needle to turn loose wool fibres into a firm fabric, with a multitude of uses:
pictures, greetings card inserts, decorating fabrics, decorations, toys, jewellery.

Traditional canal bonnets - two day course (£90.00)
Introduction to making a canal boatwoman’s bonnet. This is a 2 day course. Course fee includes a kit with all materials and instructions to make your own bonnet. Please bring your own sewing machine.

To include crochet decoration for narrow boat cabins if desired by any participant.
Rag Rugging
Learn the basic methods of rag rug making, including the different materials and tools used for the various techniques. You will need to bring T-shirts or other materials to cut up into strips to make your rug.

Boat Fender Making – two day course (£90.00)
How to make side and button fenders using traditional techniques of crowning and half-hitching. Course fee includes a kit with all materials, and instructions to make two side fenders and a button fender.
